Quit the Scare Tactics McCain

I hate it when the candidates choose to scare people when promoting their positions. To me this is CHEAP and sign of DESPERATION, praying on people's fears rather than sticking to a message filled with correct information.

Kudos To Politicians (Really!)

I never thought it made sense this time of year when you would get several mailings a day from the candidates. I would get so mad when I would repeatedly get the same brochures, letters and postcards from the politicans running for office in that particular year....Guess where they ended up, yes in the trash.

I live in a small town of 500 where we have to go down to the post office everyday to get our mail from our Post Office box. Well, after a while you would notice that others in my town felt the same since the large trash can would be full of these expensive mailings. I kept thinking to myself, what if I had the money that was thrown into the trash can to invest in my business, pay bills or buy groceries.

Back to the title of this post....Kudos to politicians this year. I don't think I have gotton any literature in the mail. I haven't thrown anything in the trash can. I don't know what happened, maybe I got cut off some lists, but I don't see others throwing away mail either. Maybe I am speaking too soon, we do have a week and a half before elections....

I watch tv, that is where I get my information, not mailings.

No wasteful mailings, now that makes sense!

The Election and "Labelism"

I like to consider myself an Independant, always have, but do have to admit I have a leaning toward Democrat. I like to be able to evaluate every candidate individually and make my decisions that way, I would NEVER vote a straight party ticket. I can't stand what I call "Labelism". Liberal, Democrat, Republican etc....I think (in all walks of life) labels limit thinking. It is easier to lable something you don't understand or agree with....I am not a black and white thinker. It is the grey that is most interesting and beautiful, where the truths lie, maybe that is the artist with in me. Doesn't that make sense?

I started this blog to write down my thoughts and perhaps share positive ideas with others. I am an artist, mom of 3 teenage daughters, wife to a very wonderful supportive husband and daughter/sister, friend and pet owner of one dog and 2 cats.

I titled this blog "Does It Make Sense" because it seems when I want to make an important decision this is the question I ask. I am going on 48 and like everyone made stuipid mistakes, great decisions and hard choices. I have found when things really worked out the solution always "made sense". So this will be the running theme throught this blog.
